Brandt triples its revenues in 2016, two years after its takeover

During a press conference in the Brandt electrical appliance plant in Sétif, which currently employs 1,500 people, the Cevital Group announced that it is set to triple its revenues in 2016, two years after its €200 million takeover in 2014.

In 2016 Brandt expects revenues of €502 million (compared to €370 million in 2015 and €170 million in 2014). Since the Cevital takeover, “Brandt has witnessed strong growth thanks to the development of its domestic market and its international business”, stressed Sergio Treviño, CEO France.

The Group’s ambition is to become a major regional player on the electrical appliance market by consolidating its positions in Europe and by expanding its business in North Africa and the Middle East.

In France, Brandt aims to achieve an export rate of 53% in 2016, compared to 39% in 2015 and 18% in 2014.

Brandt is further investing €250 million in the construction of a new production plant in Sétif, which will be inaugurated in spring 2017, with a production capacity of 8 million units, all destined for export. Ultimately, the plant will employ some 7,000 staff.
