Numilog, Cevital’s transport and logistics subsidiary, has committed to road safety

Numilog, Cevital’s transport and logistics subsidiary, has committed to road safety by fitting posters measuring 2m x 1.4m to its trucks, to raise awareness about road accidents.

The result of a partnership between the Cevital Group and Béjaïa civil defence, the initiative will extend over two years, and Numilog’s fleet of 600 trucks will criss-cross the entire country.

According to Numilog’s transport operations director in Béjaïa, Chérif Amouri, on average each of the subsidiary’s trucks drives 120,000 km every year. This awareness campaign will be just as far-reaching.

“I say stop. What do you say?” is the message given pride of place on these panels, alongside images showing the main causes of road traffic accidents: driver fatigue, mobile phone usage, drink-driving, failure to keep a safe distance, dangerous overtaking and speeding.

The posters emphasise the disastrous consequences of all these dangerous behaviours on our roads.
