The Cevital Group signed a partnership agreement with the production company Les Films de la Source, under which it will co-finance production of the film Larbi Ben M’hidi directed by Bachir Derrais.
This work will be 70% funded by public funds and co-produced by the ministries of Mujahideen and Culture.
For Cevital, this is an opportunity to confirm its intent to support the production of original cultural works in line with its citizen commitments and to help safeguard its intangible heritage.
The script for this fictional work, which is due to be released in March 2017 and for which filming is already in progress, was written with the assistance of testimonies collected from comrades-in-arms of Larbi Ben M’hidi and his family.
This partnership was announced at a press conference held on 30 July 2016 at the Palais de la Culture in Algiers in the presence of the Minister for Culture and the producer and director of the film.
