Appointment of the CEO of Cevital Group

CEVITAL announced today the appointment of Mr. Said Benikene as Chief Executive Officer of the Group. He will take up his functions on January 4th, 2017 and will be attached to the Board of Directors.

Said Benikene will manage all of Cevital Group’s Divisions both in Algeria and internationally and transversal functions. He will have latitude to evolve management structures by integrating new skills and new talents, internal and external, in order to implement the Group’s strategic objectives and orientations.

He has a long experience in industrial issues and in the transformation of major diversified groups that he has already carried out in accompanying the acquisitions of Cevital abroad. Said Benikene adds “Cevital Group is entering an important new phase in its evolution. I am pleased and honored to join an ambitious Group with an entrepreneurial culture, strong values and committed and competent teams, to build together its development “.

Said Benikene, a graduate of the French school of Reims Management School, was previously an Associate at PwC. He was in charge of the development of PwC’s Advisory activities in Algeria, specialized in performance improvement and transactions for Algerian and international clients.

His experience has enabled him to cover a wide range of activities of the industry to the financial and banking sectors, and to work for international groups in transformation and performance improvement missions as well as for the account of governments and international institutions (EU, IMF and WB). Said Benikene has accompanied Cevital Group in most of its international acquisitions, notably for Oxxo, Alas and Brandt Group.
